The Linglestown Lights

Hi! My name is Aidan Carrigan and I am the one who is responsible for the whole display! At a young age, my family would take yearly trips to Walt Disney World. We would spend many nights watching the Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights that took place there. This was a dazzling display of over 3 million lights spanning multiple false city blocks - all synchronized to "dance" along with music! Before moving to Disney in 1995, the display started in 1986 at the home of Jennings, Mitzi, and Breezy Osborne in Little Rock, Arkansas. Jennings brought cheer to so many people around the world through his giving spirit and his amazing light display! Since then, I had always dreamed of creating my own display where people could make some of the same memories that I made back at the Osborne lights. Jennings had passed away in 2011, and Disney shut down the light display shortly after in 2015. While I don't have quite the expansive budget and land as Jennings and his display, my display is in part designed to carry on the same holiday spirit that was brought to so many by that display. There are several tributes to Jennings and his display scattered throughout the Linglestown Lights!

I had always enjoyed decorating the house each year starting when I was in elementary school. In fact - some of the props in the display today are from those original decorating days many years ago! In the 5th grade I began using a store bought lightshow device. This provided some crude animation to the few decorations I had. Three years later, I purchased my first Light-O-Rama light controller. This allowed custom  sequences on the computer to be played back precisely to the lights with many different effects. The photos below were taken in 2012.

I really began expanding the show for the 2016 season after Disney decided to end the Osborne Lights. This inspired me to make my first bulk order of lights to cover the second-floor siding of the house. From that point on, I began adding more and more lights each year including smart RGB pixels. All of the songs in the show are hand programmed over the summer with many, many hours spent on each song to get everything perfect!

Bringing friends, families and loved ones together

I have heard so many stories of how much the lights mean to so many local families, it is heartwarming! Start a new family tradition and watch as we continue to expand each year! The show is intended to be enjoyed by all - young and old. There are many details to take in!
